Fake Delta Cards

Unfortunately, there have been a few people selling fake Delta cards and trying to pass them off as the real thing. I hope to show you some of the fakes here and what to look for. If you have any questions about specific cards, please contact me. I would be glad to help.

Most of the fakes that have come out are from the first three sets and the older Northwest and connections cards.

You will sometimes see pixelation, especially in the solid color sections
With some of the Northwest cards, the border is missing all together

Most fakes are a darker color in general but that shows up on the silver of the second series. Look at the top edge of these cards.

Detail is often lost and many of the fake cards look out of focus or even pixelated some times.

Here, you can see that the fake is out of focus. Look at the windows on the aircraft. Also, the reds are not as bright.

On the Northwest cards are usually missing the white boarder all together. you can also see that the colors are significantly duller.

The colors on fakes tend to be all over the place especially on boarders and edges. the originals are very consistent in colors across each set.

Boarder sizes are often much large or smaller. on this one you can see also that the colors are darker and not as bright.

Whites are often not a clean white. here you can see how some are printed slightly yellow. also the printing in the red varies from card to card.

The solid color sections often look pixelated rather then being a smooth clean color. Look at the gray in the bottom right and the blue at the bottom.
