Sun Country Airlines
Sun Country Airlines is an Ultra-Low-Cost Carrier operating leisure routes, charters, and Amazon Air cargo flights out of its hub in Minneapolis-Saint Paul. Incorporated in 1982, it was founded by several former Braniff International Airways employees and has undergone several ownership changes, most recently a merger with Allegiant Airlines.
The first records of Sun Country cards trace back to mid-2025, when pilot trading cards reached peak popularity on social media. These cards are made of stock paper and lined with gloss, bearing sharp corners and two distinct aircraft; the namesake “Tide Pod” livery and the University of Minnesota colors. These cards, commonly handed out by many pilots on the line, are assumed to be pilot-made and not officially produced by Sun Country.
